Painting a Sunrise

Golden Sunrise.

You might want to get better at painting Sunrises, Sunsets, Skies yourself? Then: great news: I'm sharing all I know in my New Online Painting Course: 'How to Paint Sun, Sky, and Clouds'. Last weekend I've put the finishing touches on the presentation of it, and I soon will email you about it!

In this painting here, I experimented with darkening the land. It works well!

Somehow when you're standing there at 'sunrise time' the total land looks lighter.

But our eyes might adjust to this little light.

→ Squinting helps to see the actual value of the land much better.
