Paintings in Oils by Roos Schuring.
Plein air painting, Images & Videos, Enjoy!
This is a soft contrast rainbow. The top merges with the grey sky. Especially when you see it on the wall. I like that. I've played with the total light here.
When you see the thumbnail you can see it better:
It's not that I 'invent' these things : ) it's just that the more you paint them, the more different you see them. And the more ideas you get in portraying what you see.
You'll in the beginning want to portray it 'perfect' with all colors in it, and you'll perhaps later on also want to 'simplify' it down to its essence. I'm playing with that too.
In a way the rainbow can be 'red gold and green', simplified.
Or orange-red, yellow, cyan. And weaving between those.
(All detailed, you want magenta woven with the cyan at the bottom.)
I like to be every day 'free' to re-invent my own wheels. Always starting anew, figuring out different aspects. Taking different approaches. Of course, my main goal remains the same, I want to paint the beauty that I witness, and in that, LIGHT (and color, being its tool) is always the reason.
The PLAY, the playing aspect can be this experimentation. It also detaches you more from the outcome, which can be a very welcome thing.
In the previous post I wrote about how I use the umbrella, and what you can do with the canvas when it starts raining, when you start painting. An important tip.
