This painting was part of my morning demo during my MasterClass at the beach.
A morning view, looking at this beach my first impulse was to paint the reflected clouds in that shallow water. Often that first fascination is worth chasing.
The clouds bringing a big light and shade effect (top versus bottom) I think this really makes this painting work. The little child is a happy extra note at the end.

Finished at midday. The warmer colors will then make way for the cooler colors of the afternoon usually.

Once a year I'm doing the 'Mastering Summer Seascapes' Course in group format. This has had THE BEST reviews because feedback was included. Getting help, visually, showing you ideas, where to take your paintings next, it's just the fastest way forward I think.
It's great to be in person on a beach together, but second best is to get this help and feedback in such an online group setting. Of course, 'Mastering Summer Seascapes' is also a maxi-course, 3 modules and Lots of video teaching. The combination is Great.
If you have time and if you can implement it!
More info and joining is here.
(Get in before Aug 10-2020 because then we'll start together.)
