Seascape First Palms

Painting Movement in the Sky

How I love the moving sky, clouds, chances of rain. I like feeling the energy in the sky and painting it.

This is 'Beach View Clouds and Palm Trees'. Great to change scenery and to paint such different seascapes compared to the beaches I see here in Holland. In this post you'll find the pics from the scene, palette and mixtures.

Though it was hot, almost melting the paint, the oil paint becoming thinner, it helped I didn't have any spirits. It allowed me to paint thick enough. I have practiced painting without any mediums before, in California. It does work. ↪ Sometimes it even delivers better work because of it. Test it out!

↪ When you are going to test it out: do bring enough cloth. You will need to wipe the paints from the brush to be able to do without the rinsers.
