Sunset - There's The Red One

Will it be red?

Often you'll visit the beach to paint the sunset and you really start too early.
When the sun sets in red (and of course, it isn't red every night: you have to be lucky to see it) often you'll have another viewpoint on your easel.

So you can go over the painting you started hours ago -or - you quickly grab another canvas and you work fasttttt.

I found by doing this more often that there already needs to be a haze in the air. If you don't have 'crisp atmosphere' (crisp/weather: very clear, harsh contrasts) and the yellow sun already goes more orange: it has a great chance of turning red.
Also: when it can shine through a purple/blue bottom cloud you are really in luck. Often it will rain the day after.

Here's where farmer's eyes and painters' eyes coincide :)
