A threatening sky. Before I knew what I wanted to paint I walked around, thinking about what the 'best view' would be.
I chose a side view, the tree creating shade, the sun coming, going, the sky dark grey, then dark blue, the white bright clouds lighting up, on and off.
Often when we're indoors we think a grey day is just that. But most often there are moments of light and clouds in highlight, perhaps far away, we might just not see it being indoors, not seeing any horizon. Anyway, painting on those kinds of days can result in big opportunities. Try it out.
