A Rainbow in the Morning Light

A Soft Rainbow.

The previous rainbow painting ended up pretty dark, having a saturated rainbow.

This one is less strong, a far softer impression. Of course, this is because the view was different, but it's also always a mental choice, how you portray your subject. And every time you can take different approaches.

The morning sunlight colours the clouds, ocean and sky so warm. A pretty total.

This you can't ever see during daytime. I spend years not ever seeing these colors, just because I always painted later in the day.

Here the palette at the end

At the beach, these changing situations with rainbows, rain, and again sunshine clear blue skies, it's often moving by swiftly.

A painter probably never sets out to paint a rainbow as predicting these is probably not possible. Though your chances are greater in Spring and Autumn, plus, when you're not fearing rain, carrying the umbrella always, you'll get lucky in the rainbow department more often.🧐 🤓

Rain or shine. A cloud loving painter will love it all.
These people will be painting and smiling from under an umbrella, yes, they'll get soaked too, carrying a masterpiece afterwards. 😄 It won't always work out, but often it will.

When we can again travel, join me at my beach in Spring or Autumn!
