Foam Knee High : )

Stormy skies. Risk of rain.

The foam came knee high. And although the was my class in April, these for sure were March conditions. (Not for no reason I moved away from March to April, as the conditions are usually far more soft then.)

Stormy skies. Risk of rain, but we painted and enjoyed ourselves. Like always, the paintings don’t show the ’suffering’, but we did ‘suffer’, especially on day 1. The wintercoat was wet through and through. Water in the boots from the hale. And now, green from the foam waist-high : ). Easels fell over because of the winds.

Yes, bags of sand will help, but it’s just something you need to practice a bit, because once you DO have the gear under control, the painting will be more happy painting, of course. You can call it ‘extreme pleinair’. At least, they told me that they never experienced such conditions in the US. But it’s all relative of course. Painting in freezing circumstances is more tough I find.
