I drove to 4 different spots. I had set-up (and taken down) the easel three times before I went for it, in this process wasting precious time! I did push away all of those excuses and fear at the end, standing in weird smelling mud, equipment all over the place, with only the lights of passing cars. Because I would have hated myself for not trying at least. That red-orange sun stayed long, so long.
Often all we need to do is try - Sounds stupid, but it's very true. Trying is enough. To not try because we're intimidated is a waste.
It's the same with flowers: at their peak, they sing & shine so powerful. The next day you can see it was a peak: then it's not nearly the same, decay has started.
Same here, this was that last glorious view. After this it got too warm, the snow melted and it rained for a few days until everything was gone. It went out with a bang.
