Very few people know I was a photorealistic painter a long long time ago. You might understand therefore I don't look for 'the photorealistic' in the details. But quite in the opposite.
I often like the balance between the simplified and the less-says-more 'style'. I dislike the word 'style'. Seems something like clothes, but you can't wear a 'style' but many painters think this is so.
A style will grow on you over time. You might not even have control over this I think. Don't look for a style. Don't chase it. Chase beauty instead and your style will be there.
