It's good to see how a project that you set for yourself -or that is externally pushing you- delivers. Because it pushes you again, to go outside or to start a (new) subject.
The hurdle of inaction is there after a month not painting. And this was the first painting in my project. I wanted to go to the countryside again to find cows. (This was in May when I held the first 50-Days Pleinair Mastery Challenge/Course.)
In this particular spot the willows and water reflections drew my eye and that view superseded the cows across the road. The fluitekruid (cow parsley) dancing, spring blooming. I have the steps of this painting's development down below!
A bright hot Spring day

I have a vlog episode about painting cows here
If you're interested in learning about how I create my Cows/Landscape Paintings, I've created an online painting course 'Painting Landscapes With Cows' ► find it here
Recently I also added an IN THE FIELD class (in Holland) for artists who want to paint the landscape + cows from life ► find this here
