Windmill Sky and Moon - Morning Twilight

Getting there in time: it really was Step 1 in this series of sun paintings.

I could get up at 5.30 because I made use of a jet lag coming home from a summer holiday. Even before we had left for our vacation I knew the Sunrise would be my new subject.

In the beginning I woke at 4, then 5, then we had to set the alarm, as you adjust to regular time. Now, it being December the sun comes up Way later. At 8.30 AM Currently here. I know these things are all different in each time zone. There's an app that shows you exactly when the sun rises and sets and when the Golden Hour is. 'Sun Surveyor Lite' (for Android) I know there's something similar for iPhone too.

Yes, just looking outside the window will do fine. But: seeing pink sky indoors, you're probably already too late to paint it. Driving out in dark is better to maybe catch it. Arriving too late can really frustrate you. :)
